The Town of Flatwoods holds elections every 4 years. All elected official’s terms expire on the same date. The current term ends June 30, 2029.

Mayor Dale A. Ball
Mayor Ball began serving as mayor of the Town of Flatwoods on July 1, 2021. Before that he served on town council for three years. He also serves as a member of the Flatwoods Community Volunteer Fire Department. Dale is married to Brenda Ball and they have 5 children and 19 grandchildren. Recorder/Treasurer Lisa Hamrick
Lisa Hamrick was born in Northern Virginia. At the age of 12, her family moved back to her family home in Flatwoods. She has lived here ever since. She is married to Jake Hamrick. Brenda Ball
Brenda is a lifelong resident of Braxton County and a Flatwoods resident since 2009. She has served as a Council Member since July of 2017. Brenda is married to Dale Ball. They have 3 children and 19 grandchildren.
Noah “Jake” Hamrick
Jake Hamrick is a lifelong resident of Braxton County. He has been a resident of Flatwoods for 23 years. Jake joined Town Council in July of 2021. He is married to Lisa Hamrick. They have 3 children.
Bryan Keith Long II
Keith was born in Charleston, WV but raised in Flatwoods where he has resided for 28 years. He appreciates the opportunity to serve his community and looks forward to doing more during his term in office.
Courtney Luzader
Courtney is a long time resident of Flatwoods. She is the youngest member on the town council and is also a local business owner, as the owner and groomer of Woofs ‘N’ Whiskers, LLC. Courtney is engaged to Seth Heavner.
